A few words on Crysis, for any who are looking to try a new game. As for single player it has to be the very best I've ever played. The theme is along the lines of HL1 in a way, but far far more action. Weapons are a dream come true. I was never the sniper type, but found snipe rifle the most enjoyable weapon. The shotty is the best all around weapon and used the rifle,shotty combo along with nades
as the best at taking on the KPA. Being an old TFC solly, the rpg was flat out awesome, no rocket jumping with that puppy though. The Crytek engine for the physics is nothing but sweet.

Multiplayer is taking some getting use to, but I'm really liking it. Theres two types of game play,One is a DM type which was ok, but I've always found those games a bit boring.So for me I did not like it(for now) Those who like that style would have to see for their own.

The other type is power struggle. So far its very good the way its done. Two teams against each other and basically CP and A/D blended. Maps vary, but 5 to 8 CP's. Each one has its own value as to what the ultimate goal is. That being to build nuclear weapons to destroy the enemies base. Kinda brings new meaning to "all your base are belong to us" lol.
All in all, well worth the 40.00 spent just for the single player alone. Compared to what I've spent on Orangebox it beats valve hands down. Not to mention it comes with Punkbuster(has come a long way since first implemented eons ago) and for an interesting read on why I never run IRC on the same game machine or Steam friends while in game.(knew this was going on for a long long time)

Crysis has own internal anti-cheat in addition. Has to be better than VAC, or at least I hope so. The only hacks I've seen so far, were on non-secure servers, and they were of the cheap ankle biter variety.
Hopefully a whole new world of gaming is at hand for myself with the multiplayer

As for hardware, my machine runs it fine but min cpu is a P4 2.8 1 gig of ram with XP and ATI 9800 card or 6800 nivida. But no doubt a better rig would do the game justice. Although a lot of optimization has been done with the latest patch.

So if you have the hardware get the game, you will not be disappointed.
